Been tossing around the idea for a while now to do these little recap blog posts from weekend trips at the track. If this is something you'd like to see more of, make sure to leave a comment below.
This was my first time visiting Polka Dots, and it was pretty rad. The day started for me getting up at 5:30, quickly packing my bag, heading out the door, and getting on the road for the 2-hour drive. I rolled in about 8 AM, parked next to my buddy, and then started snapping some morning pictures of the track to use for the Polka Dots page on my current project in the works, Moto Maps. This is also the first time I've been to a D14 race that was running a split program, so I honestly could have come later in the day, but to get the full experience, you gotta be there first thing in the morning.
AM Practice
The first half of the classes went out for their morning practice. Polka Dots started practice exactly at 9 AM as they said they would. There were no delays or anything, and they were right on schedule, which made it nice.
PM Practice
The second half of the split program started around 3-ish, as far as I can remember. It was a long day, 13 hours to be exact, so details are a bit fuzzy, haha. All the photos below are as they were waiting to go out on the track. I met a couple of new people whom I've had on Facebook forever but never met at the same track before, so that was cool.
Gate Drop
And yeah, that's pretty much it. I got home a little after 7, had some food, showered, and then just relaxed for the night. Then I got up first thing this morning to sort, filter, and upload the gallery! Thanks for reading.
